GIS Solution Architect
Major Roles & Responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end GIS project component.
Act as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all activities and coordinate with the Project Manager in consultationwith the Monitoring Team.
Organize, plan, direct, and coordinate GIS requirements.
Allocate tasks to the team and lead the management of GIS development components.
Supervise, guide, train, and support the GIS team and be responsible for their outputs and performance.
Review the quality of GIS project deliverables to ensure compliance with agreed quality standards.
Lead project review meetings regarding GIS components and present progress as per the prescribed timeline.
Mentor the team on technical or functional challenges during implementation and support phases.
Proven experience in managing/developing geospatial solutions using:
ESRI suite: ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Mobile,ArcGIS Portal, Geoportal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Desktop, JavaScript API, 3D GIS applications.
Open-source GIS: GeoServer, Leaflet, MapServer, etc.
Lead deployment of the system in cloud-based infrastructure and establish communication channels for successful deployment and operation.
Experience & Certifications
Minimum 10+ years of relevant work experience in team leadership and GIS SDLC project management.
Project Management Certification (PMP) is required.
Experience in Government Projects is mandatory.
Educational Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Science / MSc.
