Job Title – Database Administrator
Key Responsibilities
Manage, monitor, and maintain production and nonproduction databases
Ensure database performance, availability, security, and data integrity
Perform backup, recovery, disaster recovery planning, and high availability setup
Optimize queries, indexes, and database performance tuning
Support application teams with database design, migrations, and troubleshooting
Implement security standards, access controls, and compliance requirements
Design the overall structure of databases, schemas.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
6–10 years of handson experience as a Database Administrator
Strong expertise in RDBMS platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) 6-10 years
Experience with performance tuning, backup/recovery, and HA/DR solutions
Working knowledge of cloud databases (AWS, Azure, or GCP) preferred
Strong problem solving skills and ability to support critical systems
